It's hard to believe that Grace is going to be here in only 2 weeks. I keep thinking about how much our lives are going to change with our new baby girl coming into the world, our family, and our hearts. This entire pregnancy, this one thought has kept popping into my mind: will I love her as much as I do Davis? I mean, I
really really love that boy. But I have come to realize that love is exponential. It grows, and multiplies as long as you leave your heart open to work its magic.
I found this quote the other day, and I think it sums it up perfectly:
Nobody will ever know the strength of my love for you, after all you're the only one who knows what my heart sounds like from the inside.
Now, going back to the fact that Grace will be here in 2 weeks. Wow, I'm trying not to freak out too much as I type that. We still have so much work to do in her nursery. The closet is finally finished, but we're waiting for the paint to dry so we can hang all of her clothes in it. We have nothing on the walls yet. We tried to hang up a vinyl wall graphic, and that was a disaster. I'm really hoping we can do some work this weekend, but we're also having Davis's birthday party on Saturday (decided to have it early, just in case...). We still have to install the carseats, and pack mine and Grace's bags for the hospital.
So, am I ready for Grace's arrival? No, and I probably will never be. But do I have two arms to hold her and heart full of love to give to her? You bet.
