Maternity Pictures

Don and Diane Lewis from our church were gracious enough to take my maternity pictures. We chose Joyner Park in Wake Forest which is one of my favorite places. I am so happy with how they turned out and am so glad we captured this sweet moment in our lives as we go from a family of 3 to a family of 4.

36 Weeks!

Weight gain: 26 pounds (4 pounds since last week...must be all that french toast.)

Movement: Feeling lots of kicks on the top right side of my belly.

Sleep: Sleeping ok. Getting up every hour to pee. Also waking up with heartburn throughout the night.

Symptoms: Feeling really tired. Learned today at the dr. that my iron has dropped from 11 to 8.9 so I may have to increase the iron pills to 3 a day. Should know more once they get back the full panel from the blood sample. Also learned that Grace has dropped! I thought she had since it's getting a lot harder to move around!

Cravings: Chocolate, chocolate, chocolate. I seriously don't think I'm going to have enough halloween candy for trick or treaters. Maybe I'll leave the porch light off.

Best moment this week: Getting maternity pictures and having built-in shelving put in Grace's closet to fit all of her cute clothes.

35 weeks!

Weight gain: 22 pounds.

Movement: Feeling lots of kicks on the top right side of my belly.

Sleep: Sleeping ok. Getting up every hour to pee. Also waking up with heartburn throughout the night.

Symptoms: Braxton hicks 7-10 times a day. The nesting has kicked in full swing!

Cravings: I have been starving lately. This week's craving has been breakfast food. I have had so many pancakes, french toast, omelettes, home fries, you name it! My fantasy would be to just chow down at a breakfast buffet. I guess Gracie is going through a growth spurt!

Best moment this week: Three baby showers! My sweet neighbors, co-workers, and women in my bible study class all threw me baby showers this week.  I cannot believe how tremendously blessed we are to receive so much love from our family and friends over the past few weeks. Everyone is so excited and wants to celebrate our sweet girl that will soon be here!

Here's a belly picture to show 35 weeks. It's hard to believe that Grace will be entering the world 4 weeks from today!!!

34 Weeks!

Gender: A girl!!! Grace Elizabeth Coghill


Weight gain: 22 pounds. I was concerned that I haven't gained any weight since last dr. appt., but the baby is measuring exactly 34 weeks, so she's right where she needs to be.
Movement: LOTS of movement

Sleep: Sleeping ok. I've been staying up later trying to get some things done - guess I'm nesting!! Getting up three times a night to pee.

Symptoms: Braxton hicks 7-10 times a day; feeling really tired.

Cravings: The powdered donuts from Dunkin Donuts with chocolate cream in the middle. I could eat a dozen.

Best moment this week: My baby shower! Family and friends showed up to celebrate the upcoming arrival of baby Grace. She received so many cute things!

How Far Along: 33 weeks


Gender: A girl!!! Grace Elizabeth Coghill

Weight gain: 22 pounds

Movement: LOTS of movement - getting more kicks at the top of my belly.

Sleep: Sleeping well this past week. The minute my head hits the pillow, I'm out! Getting up twice a night to pee.
Symptoms: Braxton hicks several times a day; feeling really tired.

Cravings: Sweets! Chocolate chip cookies.
Best moment this week: Getting my maternity pictures taken last Saturday - hope to have them soon so I can post!
