Parents' Vow Renewal Ceremony - My parents celebrated their 30-year wedding anniversary by renewing their vows on June 14. The same preacher that married them 30 years ago performed the ceremony, which was really sweet. Davis was all decked out in a little suit and looked oh so handsome!
Father's Day 2009 - Greg had a great Father's Day weekend. Greg's dad came into town to visit, my dad came over for a cookout, and Greg got to spend some time golfing with Davis.
Random Shots of Davis - Davis is really taking a liking to the game of golf, which makes Daddy very happy. We've transitioned him over to the "big boy clubs" that are metal and much heavier, but he likes dragging them around the yard just the same! Daddy also got him his first shiny, red firetruck (or as Davis says, "firechuck") which makes all sorts of fun noises. Some other things he's really into these days: books, oreos, and hopping!
Dinosaurs, Turtles, and Sharks, Oh MY! - We recently went back to the NC Museum of Natural History (love it, because it's free admission!) and Davis still goes nuts over the Dinosaur exhibits, especially the Tyrannesauras Rex skull. We also went to the Pine Knoll Shores Aquarium and had lots of fun looking at all the sea creatures. Davis loved feeling the shark teeth on the huge shark skull they had on exhibit.

July 4th Vacation
We spent the first part of our vacation at my parents' place at Holden Beach. Davis had a lot of fun with his cousin Jacob and he was able to ride quite a few of the rides at Broadway at the Beach in Myrtle Beach. We also ate at the Margaritaville restaurant in Myrtle and enjoyed watching the huge blender fill up with margarita mix and the balloon artists on stilts make Davis and Jacob funny looking hats.
We drove over to Wilmington to celebrate the 4th. Everyone looked so patriotic! We ate dinner at Elijah's (yum), then watched a spectacular fireworks show over the water. It was beautiful. Needless to say, Davis got scared by the "boom" noise that the fireworks made, but liked watching them.
My dad spelled Davis' name out in the sand.
We spent the rest of our vacation with Greg's mom and step-dad at Sneads Ferry. We spent much of our time on an island near Topsail that you could only get to by boat. Davis loved running and playing in the sand and actually went into the water on the beach since there weren't any waves.
